nice little write-up on a project I worked on with Motorola. we made an animated 3D short for their new phone, the Moto X, in which the phone screen acts as the free-moving camera inside the space where the story is taking place. I got to art direct the short (as well as this limited-run box) with Mark Oftedal as character designer and Jan Pinkava directing, as well as a whole crew of hugely talented people. It was a great project and I’m proud to have been on it!
Happy Thanksgiving Canada! Miss you like crazy.

I turned the calendar over to July and found two last tour dates tucked in there before I put my suitcase away for a while.
It turns out I will be at the Summer Conference at the Mazza Museum (http://www.findlay.edu/offices/academic/mazzamuseum/Pages/default.aspx) in Findlay Ohio next Monday and Tuesday, July 15th and 16th, and then on Wednesday the 17th I will be in Petosky, Michigan at McLean & Eakin Bookstore doing an event that morning, although I’m told it will be offsite. I’ll get more details on that soon.
If anyone knows anything one should see on the road between Findlay and Petosky, please pass it on! And if you are in either of those places, please come say hello!

i found these deep in an old hard drive a little while ago. i think they are from about 2008? i put them together to show book ideas back before i’d done any books, but they didn’t have any stories to go with them.
